DATABERG
The formula of success behind the sunglasses
In this Datumize Talent Spotlight podcast, we talked to Berni Garcia, our Back Office in Datumize, about his role in Datumize and his overall experience. When chatting about his daily aspirations in the company, we unveiled the top “must-have” qualities in the field of office administration and business management. Even more, we managed to get a secret recipe on how to become a successful Back Office!
Born in Gavá, Berni grew up in a family that was originally from the south of Spain. Since his early childhood, Berni was surrounded by women, although he clearly felt the immense influence and care of his three elder brothers that would always protect and support a small boy.
On graduating from high school, Berni was not that eager to continue his studies and was rather hesitant what exactly he would like to dedicate himself to. It was his friend, Ana, who talked him into pursuing a degree in Business Administration. After the graduation, young man started working in a family business as an office manager. From that moment on, when still studying the History of Arts, Berni already made up his mind to entirely devote himself to the world of administration, although his true dream was to connect his life with the magic world of art.
Four years ago, he realized he needed some change in his life, for he was desperately in need for new tasks and challenges. Despite being almost 50 years old, he was full of determination to completely change his life and his overall field of activities. Little by little, Berni brushed up his English and, one day, via the labor promotion program organized by the mayor’s office of Viladecans he discovered Datumize. Shortly afterwards, after a successful interview with Nacho, he joined the company. Datumize introduced Berni not only to the highly diverse, multinational environment, but also broadened his knowledge in the realm of accounting and software.
